Documentation Now Available in 7 Languages & MiniOS Based on Devuan
By crims0n
We've recently completed two major improvements to MiniOS.
MiniOS Documentation Now Available in 7 Languages
Our documentation has been translated into seven languages, making MiniOS more accessible to users around the world.
This was made possible by lokit—our open-source localization management tool with AI-powered translation support. It automates the creation and maintenance of translations for documentation, applications, and websites, supports a wide range of popular formats, and helps keep localization up to date with minimal effort.
The source code for lokit is open source and available on GitHub.
MiniOS Based on Devuan
We're also putting the finishing touches on a new edition of MiniOS based on Devuan—Debian without systemd.
This will be a full-featured MiniOS edition running SysVinit, while retaining all the core features of MiniOS:
- SquashFS-based modular architecture;
- persistence support;
- Live mode;
- RAM boot support;
- compatibility with the vast majority of Debian packages.
This edition will be available exclusively to subscribers of our Telegram channel.
All releases, news, and updates related to the Devuan edition will be published there first.
Join our Telegram channel and stay tuned—the first public image for anyone who wants to try it will be available very soon.
